“After doing this project, I find it harder to just walk by a piece of trash lying on the side of the road as I might have done before. It's not just because it will end up in the stomach of a turtle — but because to simply walk by and do nothing shows the same level of apathy as the person who threw it there in the first place.”

Before trash is buried in the landfill at Zagala near the Pan-American highway, trash-divers called buzos sort through looking for food, clothing, and recyclable materials.
